 How Does the CO2RE Laser Work?
The laser penetrates into the upper layer of the dermis, the supporting layer of skin which contains most of its collagen. CO2RE  targets water in these tissues, resulting in tissue ablation inside the ‘dot’. Each ‘dot’ is surrounded by a zone of thermal tissue damage formed by the laser. This thermal damage is responsible for the superior results seen with CO2 lasers. It is more than skin resurfacing; it is deep skin rejuvenation.

How Does CO2RE Achieve Shorter Recovery Times Than Previous CO2 Ablation Techniques?
Previous CO2 ablative treatments removed the entire skin surface. This required the skin to heal from below – a somewhat long and painful process. Because the CO2RE leaves the skin around each ‘dot’ intact, the skin heals in from this surrounding tissue. This is one of the primary differences between CO2RE and previous CO2 laser treatments, and is responsible for the drastically shorter recovery times associated with treatment.

How Long Does the Procedure Take?
The entire face can be treated in 30-60 minutes, with results lasting years when supported by proper skin care and sun protection.

Is the Procedure Painful?
Topical numbing cream, local nerve blocks, and pain medications make the procedure tolerable. Afterwards, you will experience a mild heat sensation similar to a sun burn, itchiness, and dryness in the treated area. Application of cold air or cold packs will help alleviate the sensation.

What Is the Recovery Time?
Within the first few days of treatment, you will experience some redness, swelling, peeling, and sunburn sensation. The treated area heals quickly and you will be able to apply makeup on the treated surface within a couple of days and return to your normal lifestyle within a week.

How is CO2RE Different From Competitor Resurfacing Lasers?
